Important consideration when picking “free” stock images:
Don’t assume because an image is on a royalty free stock site it is free to use anywhere. There are different types of CC Licenses. I very nearly got caught out this morning and even downloaded the following image to use. Luckily I noticed the terms in time ‘Editorial Use Only’.
* An editorial image cannot be altered, and must be used ‘as is’. It can not to sell or promote a product, service or idea.
Ok, I’m very new to stock images. If you can’t use it for anything, why do they post it in free images? I know, crazy question huh?
