this was the first time I’ve ever attempted anything like this and I found the written tutorial quite confusing in the early stages especially in step 5, where I was never sure which image was the landscape and which the mountain as they seemed to be interchangeable. It would have been helpful to me, for example, if the images had been named or prefixed A, B, C, etc. and a close-up of the layers panel showing the 3 images and masks in place had been included at this stage. In the second part of step 5 I wasn’t sure which image I was supposed to be working on to hide the mountain parts and reveal the sky parts.
In step 11 we were told to place flare (28) but the file included in the download is flare 26.
Step 15 the instructions for painting the light weren’t clear enough for a newbie such as me to follow, even when referring to the movie poster tutorial. I couldn’t manage this at all.

This amazing! I wonder where the flare pack is, and I had no idea about numbered colors??

Thanks for comment. Sorry, that you didn’t get the flare pack. Here is the link: https://www.deviantart.com/art/Big-Lens-And-Optical-Flare-Collection-328553622, you can download it from there.

I’m working my way through all of Bunty’s images. It is true that there are occasional glitches. Especially in 2022 when some things have moved or ceased to exist after four or five years since the tutorials were created.
However that adds to the challenge. After all, the idea is to learn to do all this ourselves. Thus there are times when you just have to figure something out. Not easy if you’re just starting out I agree.
