Dark by Jenny Le
In this tutorial Jenny Le shows you how to create a dark and emotional photo manipulation. You will learn how to combine different stock images, practice dodging and burning, apply texture, enhance the atmosphere and create an intense effect with stock images of black birds and debris. Her final touch is to use Color Balance and a Gradient Map to bring it all together.
Watch the video showing her methods and read along with her step-by-step tutorial.

Christine, I have double checked the settings on the host site and it has the same settings as all other videos on the site. Could you try reloading the page in your browser, or perhaps try a different browser? If it still doesn’t work, send me an email and we’ll figure it out!

Wow, this tutorial has been published for quite a while and no one has caught this mistake before! 1. Bonus points for letting me know. 2. I’ve got an email out to Jenny to see if she can help us out!

Where are the resources for this tutorial? I am logged in and it added me to the challenge but I cannot access them? Are some challenges just for premium members? 🙁 I can’t see the tutorial either. 🙁
Andrei says
Sybille, the resources are linked in the tutorial below the video, before the written tutorial begins. I made a mistake in linking this tutorial in the 10 Day Challenge. However, since I made the mistake I’ll make sure you can access this tutorial as well! (but it’s not part of the challenge)

The Birds 1 file is linking to the particles image, can you update the url please?
Andrei says
I have searched throughout my Jenny Le files and it appears that this file was never included in the original submission. I have contacted Jenny to see if she has it available. Until then, you’ll have to get creative in finding a suitable substitution 🙂
