Thank you for this tutorial! I really enjoyed the light blending – it is a challenging area for me. I look forward to doing some of my original work using all the various techniques from these great tutorial! Well, maybe not all at the same time… 🙂

The Koda Color LUT must be a CC only. I used another one from my stash.

I completed the tutorial. I had to make some substitutions though because of three things:
a) I don’t know what to “subtle” is. This is referenced when you are instructing us to blend the light layer with the background a bit I think. I wasn’t sure if you wanted us to blur it or add some filter, so I just did the best I could.
b) I don’t have access to the birds brush, so had to make do with some free image ware of birds. I hope that was okay.
c) I don’t have access to the plug-in or whatever (perhaps my version of Photoshop is too old) that is Color Lookup adjustment layer and choose Kodak 5218 Koda 2383 file. I don’t have a ‘color lookup’ option on my adjustment palette.
Other than that, this was a fun tutorial and thank you for being so helpful with your instruction.

Fabulous tutorial. The lightning technique was new to me and very effective. My monitor must be way off, as your colour balance settings were quite different and gave an odd result for me, so had to adapt. Thank you!
