In this tutorial you’ll learn how to create a misty landscape matte painting in Photoshop. You’ll learn how to work with multiple mountain images and then blend them into a cohesive scene. After that we’ll make the scene misty and moody by painting mist and finalize the whole scene with final adjustments.

This was fun. Had a bit of trouble figuring out how to select colors for a custom Gradient Map but eventually stumbled on the correct combination. Most trouble I had was getting the trees to extend to the left behind the man. Just could not make those silly trees come out the rest of the way on the left. Still was easier than doing “in My Dream”–hope that means I am improving a bit…
