The April, 2018 results are in!
The challenge this month was to celebrate the magnificent African Savannah and the animals who live there. The creativity and messages displayed in these pieces is incredible! Thanks to everyone who participated!
The judging was difficult as usual. With our new point system, judges now have more points to distribute among the entries. This resulted in a larger number of well deserved Honorable Mentions and Also Noticed results! The top three entries stood out clearly after the dust settled – with the exact same number of points! After a tie-breaker round Caloline Julia Moore, Gail Edwards and I are excited to share the results!
Rhino by Dan Lavery, narrowly came out with the most points. Congratulations Dan!
Dan’s winning piece will be used as the background image on the front page of Shift Art for a month!
Based on the results of this challenge, Shift Art will be donating $131 to the African Wildlife Foundation! Shift Art pledged to donate $1 for each qualified entry, as well as any affiliate commissions from sales at RawExchange. We got 104 entries, and $27 in affiliate commissions (as of today) from RawExchange.
If you would like to contribute to the conservation and protection of the animals and habitats in Africa, please consider donating to the African Wildlife Foundation. If you have already donated, thank you!
